How is the starting level found?

Placement starts at Pre-A1 regardless of age; at least 8 correct answers out of 10 move the learner to the next level. Starting at Pre-A1 without a test is also possible.

Children find a starting point through their answers rather than a level assigned by age.

Step by step in the app
  1. Choose Student, Parent or Teacher on Register. Students should use a nickname; complete the birth date, password and required parental consent. Teachers must enter their full name.
  2. After registration, take placement or start from Pre-A1. Age does not assign a course level.
  3. Placement starts at Pre-A1. At least 8 out of 10 correct answers advances you to the next course; the first course you do not pass becomes your study level.
  4. Use Sign in to return to your account. Parents and teachers can also study and play; teacher verification is in Classes.

What happens in a grammar lesson?

150 grammar topics use short lessons: predict first, discover through examples, then practise. After a completed lesson, three-question memory checks return after 1, 3, 7, 14 and 30 days.

Explanations show the reason behind the rule; later checks provide a chance to retrieve it. At least two correct answers out of three advance the review interval.

Step by step in the app
  1. Switch between Grammar and Sentence Structure in Lessons. Grammar topics follow a course map from Pre-A1 to C2.
  2. Open the next lesson card or a topic on the map. Your course starts expanded; you can open other courses too. Topics are not locked.
  3. Advance through the short lesson and tap options to answer its questions. Read explanations after mistakes and continue. Long lessons include a break and resume option.
  4. Use Practice for topic questions and leave personal notes in the note field. Open the topic reading through Text and Questions tabs.
  5. Track learning on topic cards. Do you remember? and Mixed review revisit topics you have studied.

What does Sentence Structure make visible?

50 chapters use coloured elements to show subjects, verbs, auxiliaries and other sentence parts. English examples, Turkish meanings and positive, negative and question forms can be compared.

Learners can see how a sentence is built, then try the chapter practice.

Step by step in the app
  1. Open Sentence Structure from the Lessons tab or its own page. Expand a course and choose a chapter.
  2. Colored sentence parts show where subjects, verbs, auxiliaries and other elements belong. Compare English examples with Turkish and listen using the audio button.
  3. Study timelines, affirmative/negative/question patterns and common mistakes in tense chapters.
  4. Open the chapter exercise. Tapping an option submits it; correct answers advance automatically, while mistakes show an explanation and continue button. Return to the chapter from results.

Pictures, meaning and audio meet recall and answering within the same practice.

Step by step in the app
  1. Choose Word, Sentence, Mixed or Grammar on Play, then tap Start. More settings lets you select time, answer format, course and topic.
  2. The question card displays its image on the left. Tapping an option submits immediately; a correct answer advances automatically. There is no separate Check step.
  3. After a wrong answer or I don’t know, read the answer and explanation, then continue. Written and word-order questions use their displayed answer controls.
  4. Free and timed games use full screen. Leave game or a back gesture opens confirmation: Continue keeps playing and Leave ends the game. Reviews and exercises opened from a topic keep the main navigation.

Does talking with Hoot use AI?

Talking with Hoot does not use AI; it is a prewritten, rule-based conversation practice. Choose a topic and answer using the microphone or text field, with hints, sample answers and corrections.

Learners try producing English in a prepared context. These answers are not free messages shared with friends.

Step by step in the app
  1. Choose a prepared topic card in Talk with Hoot and start. Your teacher Hoot asks English questions.
  2. Answer with the microphone or displayed text field. Use hints and example answers; read corrections and replay Hoot’s audio.
  3. Adjust automatic listening and slow speech as needed. Microphone use requires device permission.
  4. Speaking Practice is separate: listen to the example, tap the microphone and say it aloud. Review your result and move to the next example.

Which games can learners play together?

Live challenges start when both friends accept; rooms also use a joining code. Forest Adventure, Hoot Bingo, Treasure Island, Word Garden and Memory Cards work on one phone or online.

Two to four players can share one phone; Word Garden offers cooperation. Friends can send only prepared, kind messages.

Step by step in the app
  1. Open Forest Adventure, Hoot Bingo, Treasure Island, Word Garden or Memory Cards from Play. Choose Same phone, Challenge a friend or Create / join room.
  2. For 2–4 players on one phone, choose names, course levels and different characters: Hoot, Güneş, Alparslan or Dobi. Online players use invitations or a room code; the host starts.
  3. Choose a character token in Forest Adventure. Take turns rolling on the new trail; everyone receives a question at their own course level. Answers, dice and trail events move you toward the treehouse; read the setup rules.
  4. In real Bingo, the pouch draws one shared word card and Hoot says it. Replay with Listen. Tap its meaning on your own ticket or choose Not on my card inside the ticket. Confirmed cells receive a Hoot stamp. A row, column or diagonal is a line; a full ticket is bingo.
  5. Same-phone tickets appear together: two stacked tickets or a 2×2 grid for three or four players. Online, your ticket is large and the others are small stamped previews. The drawn word stays at the top; the next draw starts automatically.
  6. Answer questions and dig as you travel in Treasure Island. Grow seedlings together without competing in Word Garden. Match pictures and English words in Memory Cards; a correct pair gives another turn.
  7. Everyone answers on their own Bingo ticket. Follow the turn message in other same-phone games. Online Memory is turn-based; question games are simultaneous. Leaving asks for confirmation; online friends may continue.

Must a learner download an offline pack manually?

The offline pack downloads automatically: opening the app online prepares 100 questions at the child’s level. When disconnected, open review from the notice; answers sync when the connection returns.

Review can continue in an app previously opened online. Lessons, other games and live races need internet.

Step by step in the app
  1. Choose a period in My progress and inspect study, accuracy, vocabulary and memory cards. Charts fill as you study.
  2. Use Due for review, Learning, Learned and All in the word notebook; find words with search.
  3. Offline review needs no setup: whenever you open the app online, a 100-question pack from your level downloads automatically. Without internet the app still opens; use the banner at the top to go to Offline review and continue where you left off. Your answers are sent automatically when the connection returns.
  4. The usage card shows active time by day. Parents and teachers can open a linked child’s report.
  5. Print prepares a one-page A4 report for parents and teachers: summary, this week/last week, words by level, grammar topics studied, difficult words and memory strength. The home-screen app opens a PDF sharing menu to save or print.
